CANCELLED - Unfortunately despite substantially increasing our media coverage, advertising and a substantial increase in the purse for this years MG Tires 200, entries for all categories for the MG Tires 200 weekend were well below expectations. At it's height, the then Robopong 200 was as much a spectacle as it was a race, with drivers from all levels of motorsports competing alongside karters and future racing stars. Karting has changed a lot in the last decade since the races peak, with many more national series and national races competing for space on the season calendar, which has made special one off events like the original Robopong 200 fighting for relevance.
The season long momentum that the series have keep the racers running those series but the burn out level seems to hit one off events like this since they are more expendable. We had high hopes that karting was ready for the return of the 200 lapper at NCMP but unfortunately, despite renewed efforts, the sport is no longer embracing events like this. Thank you to all the teams and drivers that did enter for this years event and thank you to the past teams and competitors that made this race so special to so many racers over the years.
WHEN: Friday October 3rd to Sunday October 5th 2025
WHAT: Watch Indycar, USAC and Karting sensations battle for 200 Miles around the famed 16 turn New Castle Motorsports Park! Each driver will be looking for their share of $100,000 in cash and prizes, as well as their spot on the prestigious Dan Wheldon Cup!
The weekend will be a double feature event with the Briggs 206 100 also competing on track Saturday October 4th!
HOW: The MG Tires 200 will feature KA100 Engines on MG SH2 Red Tires.
The Briggs 206 100 will feature Senior drivers with Briggs 206 Engines on MG SH2 Tires
