Red Bull Driver Search at NCMP
From April 1st 2005 to April 30th NCMP will participate in the Red Bull Driver Search program. Red Bull has started their competition to help push American driving talent to the top seats in all of car racing with the ultimate goal of putting an American back into Formula 1. Drivers of all skill levels are eligible to participate if they meet the age requirements below.
NCMP will have two rental karts set aside for use in the Red Bull Driver Search only with onboard timers, times will be verified by NCMP staff. Rental rates for the Red Bull program are the same as our standard rental rates, $18.00 for 10 minutes, $1.00 for each additional minute. There are no set limits on the amount of times you can rent the Red Bull karts.
The top 20 drivers decided by fastest laptime during the month will be kept on file (as well as posted at NCMP) and those drivers in the top 20 will be invited back if they wish to participate in the final runoff to find the fastest three drivers.
Weight is a consideration but no weight will be added to the kart for lighter drivers.
You must be between 13 and 17 years of age to participate in the Red Bull Driver Search. If you are 13 years of age by 31 August 2005 or 17 years of age as of 1 April 2005, you are eligible. No exceptions will be made. All Red Bull Driver Search participants MUST have a parent or legal guardian present to sign do to insurance requirements!
